RubyForge and transparent proxies

Some folks have reported problems logging into RubyForge from networks behind certain ISPs' not-so-transparent proxies - Telkom and TPG users seem to have this problem, and folks in Singapore have reported it as well.  So there's been a long-standing bug on this problem.

I think we've got a work around for this now since I've hacked some IP subnet exclusions into the session tracking code.  It seems to be working; thanks to Sau Sheong Chang and Andy Shen for helping to test out the fix.

So anyhow, I'm closing that bug. If you have problems logging into the RubyForge site and keep getting cookie-related errors, please drop me a note and we'll sort through it.  Thanks!

I was about to post woohoo!, but apparently still doesn't work for me (TPG in australia).

I still get "Cookies must be enabled past this point.", after clicking the "Login with SSL" button.

@Charles - Hm, maybe I need to add another subnet - could you send your IP address to tom@infoether.com? Thanks.

Hehe just like Chris I was going to say "woohoo!" as well. But it also doesn't work for me (same "Cookies must be enabled past this point." error).

I'm in Singapore and don't with an ISP that doesn't give us static IPs. My current IP address is 116.14.93.68.

@Chu, cool, OK, just emailed you, thanks!

I am also unable to log in. I have projects on RubyForge so I must have been able to login before, I've just not done so in some time.

Do you have any idea or suggestion at all so that I can fix this? I really want to unsubscribe from one or two mailing lists :(

Clive, can you email me offline at tom@infoether.com? Then we can sort it out... thanks!
