This is more of a twitter than a proper blog entry, but if you're using mod_rails for an environment other than production, don't forget to set RailsEnv staging or whatever your environment name is in your Apache configuration file.

I'm using it in development and it's much nicer than needing to start and stop Mongrel everytime I need to view something in the browser.

Restarting your apps wont leave you even in mod_rails but its simple when comepared to mongrel
